The Bobcat News is recorded daily and can be viewed daily on our school’s Youtube channel.  The News Crew is responsible for creating and producing the morning broadcast, which includes school announcements, the Pledge of Allegiance, and other special occasions. They run the equipment, do the actual broadcasting, and gather news and announcements from around the school. There are two News Teams, one team is on during the first half of the school year and the second team is on during the second half of the school year.

News crew is open to 5^th grade. The ideal broadcast team member is responsible, a team player, articulate, able to complete tasks independently, and committed to arriving in the media center early every morning to prepare for the broadcast.

Safety Patrols are charged with helping younger students stay safe on Spruce Creek Elementary's campus before and after school. Our patrols are comprised of fifth graders with As, Bs, and Cs as well as a sense of duty and responsibility. If your student would like to apply for the 21-22 school year please email Mrs. Eagney or have your student stop by Building 8 Room 11.  

Patrols are to report to posts by 7:30 AM and 2:20 PM if patrolling in the afternoon.

FFEA stands for Future Florida Educators of America and the club is designed for aspiring 4th and 5th grade students to consider a career in Education. The club meets after school on Wednesday twice a month and we have teacher guest speakers to share their experience in Education. The club also participates in the District FFEA Conference each March where they are competing with other clubs in the categories of essay, scrapbook, display board, and cheer. The students learn about different cultures and work together on projects at the District Conference. Spruce Creek Elementary is the reigning District Champion for the 3rd year in a row!

The MATP is designed for athletes with severe and profound intellectual and physical disabilities who are unable to participate in the official Special Olympics sport competition. Athletes with significant cognitive and physical disabilities need a highly specialized training program. The MATP is a unique sport-based program designed to provide individualized training so that no one is ever excluded as an athlete.

Spruce Creek Elementary staff are proud to support our Bobcats through a Youth Motivator Program.  Staff who volunteer to be a mentor are trained by the district to meet with a student one-to-one for about 30 minutes a week.  During this time, staff can help their mentee with homework, encourage attendance, be a role model, listen, and help solve problems.  Most importantly, mentors care, listen, encourage, and give their time

Girls on the Run is a program designed to reach girls at a critical stage, strengthening their confidence at a time when society begins to tell them they can’t. This program highlights the important connection between physical and emotional health,  addressing the whole girl when she needs it the most. They meet afterschool on Monday and Thursday with the final 5K on December 3, 2022.
